This young person was staying at a group home. One day, she and other residents were misbehaving. When told to stop she became agitated and threatened to throw a rock at one of the workers. She continued by punching and kicking two of the workers.
Mr. Anber took this case on legal aid to try and help this young lady. She was an aboriginal youth who was returning to northern Canada.
Through his negotiations Mr. Anber persuaded the Crown to agree to divert the charges if she participated in counselling with the elders in her aboriginal community.
