Speeding tickets are given out in the province of Ontario every day of every week of every month of every year.
Ottawa Speeding tickets, Toronto Speeding Tickets, Brockville Speeding Tickets and all along the 401, drivers – many of whom were driving safely get nabbed by laser and by radar. Speeding tickets in Ottawa, for example are given out in every speed limit zone at all times of day.
What does a speeding ticket mean for you?
Well first of all, it’s a conviction on your driving record. That 50$ ticket may mean hundreds or thousands more on your insurance if you just pay it.
Next, consider the demerit points:
- 16km/h to 29km/h over = 3 points
- 30km/h to 49km/h over = 4 points
David Anber’s approach to speeding tickets is to go for a complete dismissal if it is possible. Although not every speeding ticket can be completely tossed, if there is a way of getting it beaten, David will find it. He accepts a reduction to a lower speed, only as a last resort once your other options are considered.
David has beaten hundreds of tickets. He has had speeding tickets thrown out for improper signatures, unreasonable delay in setting a trial, improper disclosure, improperly trained officers, improperly tested radar or laser units, mistaken identity, and lack of evidence.
Racing Charge / Stunt Driving
New legislation in Ontario means that driving 50km/h over the limit or more can result in very serious penalties for you. Monetary penalties start at $2,500.00 and can range up to $10,000.00 for a first offence. There are also 6 demerit points. Jail is an option as are licence suspensions. David has fought numerous charges getting dismissals and substantial reductions in the penalties. In a recent charge, David reduced a client’s penalty to 3 demerit points and a $350 fine. In some other charges, David reduced a charge from over 155km/h to zero points and had another charge at 163km/h completely dismissed.
