Case Details
This university student was travelling to Canada. She drove up to the border checkpoint and rolled down her window. After being asked a series of questions and answers, the border guard told the accused to pull over so he could search her car. The client misunderstood and thought she had been told to go on along her way; and so she did.
Police started looking for her car but could not locate her.
When this client returned back to the United States, she was advised by the American border guards that the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) was looking for her. She returned to the Canadian checkpoint and turned herself in. She was charged with hindering an officer.
